CL 4/7

My topic is same sex marriage. Same sex marriage is a real issue. People who are trying to just be themselves can’t. This is important to me because I would like every one to have the same rights. It should be important to other people because if they can love who they want freely then people who love the same sex should be allowed to love freely.

The issue with my topic is that it was not “normal” or allowed. Loving the same sex and marrying them is a whole new thing and people who are stuck in there ways, they don’t know how to deal with it. People who are religious are against it because the Bible says it is wrong. People who are very faith driven don’t want this life style nor approve it because it is not the Catholic/Christian thing to do. It is people who are not with the times and who haven’t evolved just yet who are against it and fight it.

My argument with this topic is that we are all human. We are all different but the same. We are different because we were all raised differently and have different beliefs. We are the same because we are all people, we are humans, we make mistakes, we have good days and we have our bad days. WE ARE HUMAN. We need to treat others as we would want them to treat us. They might have different opinions on issues but as long as you respect them and they aren’t personally affecting you let people be. Let them be there selves let them love who they love. They love just the same as “normal” couples do. So why is there love any different? Yes it is with the same sex but so what who cares they aren’t doing anything wrong but being them selves and loving the way they love and I don’t see anything wrong with that!

I have a twin sister who looks nothing like me, I went to Taylor High School. I played football in high school, I was the kicker. I kicked a game winning field goal in overtime from 32 yards. I am in the Ohio Army National Guard. My job is military police, everyone hates us until the need us. I am studying Special Education! I want to make a difference in the world, even if it is for just one person.
