Saga Volume 1 is another graphic novel, this was a good read I enjoyed it but again I feel like I repeat myself constantly saying that graphic novels are not my favorite books to read but lately we have been reading lots of graphic novels. It is a very different perspective reading a graphic novel rather than a non fiction book. Any how this is a very powerful graphic novel it is about culture war and race. I think every single one of these topics is important.
Culture is so important and this book’s author really portrayed their views on this subject. This book should definitely be read by adults because it really does talk about some heavy topics and it just should not be read by children. War is really tough to read about because it is a tough topic Im sure for anyone but especially for people who have been to war and have lost people to violence. This is one of the reasons I joined the military I wanted to be apart of something bigger than myself and I wanted to protect my family and friends and if I could make even one difference in a single persons life I would be satisfied.
I enjoyed this read and I thought that having this as a graphic novel was really interesting. I think the author did a great job and I think having the pictures really helped convey the message and helped paint the picture of what was going on!
